I've uninstalled MySQL and reinstalled several times and the server won't even start anymore. I reverted back to the original 'data' directory, and found it made no difference. I then made a copy of the 'data' directory tried to copy of the databases from MAMP Pro (I'd backed up the folders before removing MAMP). ![]() I then removed MAMP and tried installing MySQL on its own, without MAMP. I continuously got errors saying "Error 1045 Access denied for password: Yes]"ĭespite uninstalling MAMP and reinstalling, it made absolutely no difference and I continuously received this error. Short version of it is, I tried to copy the databases across and I broke it. MAMP came with a trial of MAMP Pro, which I used and when the trial expired I found out the database wasn't stored in the same place as the free MAMP version. ![]() I originally installed MAMP, which worked fine. ![]() This is absolutely killing me, so I'd really appreciate some advice on how to get this working. ![]()
